“Interesting?”

Sam didn’t answer him. She didn’t know what to say so she just waited him out, hoping they could change the subject. At least until she could get her thoughts together.

“Is this BDSM stuff something you’re interested in?” she finally asked when they were halfway to the office.

“Depends. I could be persuaded into trying.”

Sam turned to face him more fully. He sounded as though he would need as much, if not more, encouragement than she would to move forward with it. It only added to her confusion. “I don’t know what I want anymore.”

“Talk to me, Sam.”

God, she was frustrated. And confused. She felt as though Logan was trying to coax her into wanting the BDSM stuff, but she wasn’t convinced that he was really all that into it. Which didn’t make sense.

“I don’t even know how to explain it.”

“Baby, you’re gonna have to try. This is your show. If you want to try something new, I need to know what it is.”

“You’re not interested in asking Xander to be…?”

“No. I don’t think Xander is the right person. But I won’t deny that I had thought about it.”

Clearly, he had known exactly what she was referring to.

“I had too.” She had actually been excited by the idea of a threesome.

Sam watched the road in front of them for a moment before she asked, “Do you think Xander would be willing to help us with this BDSM stuff?”

“I think Xander’s open to giving us a few pointers. As to how far I’ll be willing to go, I don’t know.”

“You can’t tell me that you didn’t like what you saw last night.”

Logan glanced over at her and laughed, that sexy, rough tone making her heartbeat speed up. “Baby, I buried my cock in your pussy, I don’t think there was any disguising the fact that I liked it. I won’t deny that. That doesn’t mean you’ll enjoy it if you were in Mercedes’s shoes.”

“Are they together?” Sam asked.

“I don’t know.”

“If they aren’t, do you think you would reconsider Xander for a threesome?”

“No. Sam, Xander’s not the right man for what you’re thinking. He’s a Dom. He’s not going to willingly walk into a situation where he isn’t in control. And you know I’m not willing to give up control.”

After that conversation, they had actually been back twice. Once on Wednesday for what had been dubbed Devotion’s BDSM theme night and again last night.

On Wednesday, their attendance had been more of a social gathering. Not that there was anything wrong with socializing because, other than work, there wasn’t much else that she did besides hang out with her best friend, Sierra, and Sierra’s husbands, Luke and Cole, or sit around and chat with Ashleigh and Alex, Tag and McKenna, and even Kane and Lucie from time to time.

So, yes, her life revolved around spending time with her friends. Or going to the club. Or both. Just not this often.

Then there was last night’s adventure, which had been pre-planned, and Sam had enjoyed herself, even if the night – or more accurately, Logan’s mood – had taken a strange turn. Again, she got the impression it was from the man who’d come into their room and watched them.

Ever since that conversation with Logan, Sam had been trying to figure out what was going on. Logan was waffling on what he wanted, or so it seemed to her. Based on what she gathered from talking to Logan, they needed a little time to figure out what it was they both wanted. Away from the allure of the club.

Logan apparently wasn’t on the same page.

Although Sam had been surprised by Logan’s renewed interest in going to Devotion last night, she found his suggestion a little coincidental since it followed right on the heels of his most recent visit to X-hale, Xander Boone’s infamous cigar bar where the boys liked to hang out.

From the moment Logan had stepped foot in the house Thursday night, Sam realized he was simmering with anticipation. She tried to pry out of him the reason for his sudden eagerness, but he wouldn’t tell her.

But Sam could put two and two together. It wasn’t all that difficult.

Coincidentally, last night Logan had been talking to the attractive dark haired man, who, also coincidentally, had played voyeur to their private party. She knew somehow that man played a part in all of this; it just didn’t actually explain why she hadn’t received a formal introduction to him.

So, of course, as soon as Logan told her that he wanted to take her to Devotion tonight, Sam had called Sierra.

“We’re going to the club tonight. Will you be there?”

“Yes. Luke and Cole want to be there for a few days since the club just opened. My mom’s watching Hannah so I can join them. Why? Are you going?”

“Yes,” Sam confirmed.

“Awesome. I guess I’ll see you in a little while.”

“Wait, Sierra. I’ve got a question.”

“I might just have an answer,” Sierra said with a laugh.

“There was a man there last night. Attractive. Dark hair, scruffy face, light brown eyes. He was wearing a dark suit but no tie. Do you know who he is?”

“Not off the top of my head, no,” Sierra told her. “I met a lot of new people last night though. Why?”

“No reason,” Sam lied.

“Uh-huh.” Sierra chuckled. “All right. I’ll see you in a bit then.”

After that call was complete, Sam had headed for the shower. Now, an hour later, clad in her black silk robe, Sam had just finished meticulously applying her makeup while Logan showered.

All the while, her mind had been spinning with a myriad of questions.

Who was the sexy stranger?

Why was Logan suddenly hell-bent on going to Devotion?

Did it really have something to do with him?

Turning around to face the shower, Sam leaned against the bathroom counter and folded her arms beneath her breasts while she studied Logan momentarily. From her vantage point, she could admire her husband’s incredibly sexy, nude body while he showered. And, she could also ask him questions, which was what she decided to do.

“Remember the conversation we had last week on the way to work? After opening night at Devotion? The one where you told me to think long and hard?” she asked, raising her voice to be heard over the water.

“I remember,” he said, his voice echoing against the tiled walls while he lathered shampoo into his dark hair.

“I wanted to talk about our options. You know, the whole ‘it’s either BDSM or a threesome’ thing.”

“I never meant you had to choose between them, Sam,” Logan answered with a heavy sigh, his eyes now meeting hers across the steamy bathroom. “I was referring to a threesome with Xander or BDSM. I wasn’t drawing a line between BDSM and a threesome. And I never said it had to be one or the other.”

The shower water turned off and Sam watched as Logan grabbed one of the oversized bath towels that she’d bought on sale just last week. He raked the slate gray cotton through his hair and then ran it over his firm, lean body, catching Sam’s attention with his every move.

“I know,” she told him; not even attempting to disguise the fact that she was ogling him.

And she really did know what he was saying. Logan hadn’t given her an ultimatum by any means, but she had been under the impression that he was trying to sway her one way or the other. “Are you really interested in BDSM?” she asked.

“Did you not enjoy last night?” Logan’s dark eyebrows shot up, a look of unrestrained carnality glowed on his face. It was a look that she knew very, very well.

He was clearly remembering that swing.

“I did enjoy it. Very much,” she explained, feeling her face heat from embarrassment. Yes, she was quite fond of trying new things, but it didn’t make talking about them any easier.

After her up close and personal introduction to BDSM, Sam had certainly been looking forward to learning more. And that was the main reason they’d gone back on Wednesday. For theme night. Just to watch.

Granted, last night had been better. More intense. She had been tied up in a swing, so it could probably be classified as bondage. But something else – that man coming in to watch – had been what tipped the scales for her. That had made it incredible.

Sam wasn’t ashamed to admit that her inner nympho was quite fond of the lifestyle Logan had introduced her to.

“So you liked when I tied you up and had my wicked way with you?” he asked with a curiously wicked gleam in his eyes.

“I always like when you have your wicked way with me. Tied up or not.” Sam grinned. Logan was tenacious when he wanted something, and he made her burn for him with just a look. “But that’s the thing… I don’t have to be tied up.”

There was no denying how hot the scene with Mercedes and Xander had been, nor would she pretend that she hadn’t been incredibly turned on by it. It just wasn’t quite when she thought it would be. It seemed to work for Xander and Mercedes, but Sam hadn’t been able to imagine her and Logan doing the same thing.

Logan frowned. “Do you not want me to tie you up?”

“That’s not what I’m saying,” Sam said, her frustration coming through in her clipped tone. “I just…” She couldn’t find the words to finish that sentence.

Yes, she was definitely screwing this all up.
