Logan’s throat constricted.
The bedroom.
God, they’d never had another man in their bed. Never. He wasn’t sure he could do it now. That was the bed he shared with his wife.
“Are you asking me…?” Logan paused, swallowed. He didn’t want to go there yet. Clearing his throat, he started again, “Are you asking me if I want to watch another man fuck you until you scream? If so, then yes. I want to feel you crushed between the two of us while I’m buried in your ass and he fucks your pussy.” Logan was going to be very explicit. It’s the only way he knew how to explain himself. “I want to watch you with a cock deep in your mouth while I’m buried in your pussy, pounding into you harder and harder.”
His cock was back to full mast once again.
“But this is just sex for you?”
Logan heard the disappointment in her tone.
“No,” he answered with ease. Much more so than he expected. “I understand what you need, Sam. I’ve never wanted a casual fling with anyone. You mean more to me than that. I don’t want to share you with just anyone. If I’m going to share you with someone, I want it to be… fulfilling.”
“But you’re scared I’m going to fall in love with someone else?”
Logan’s heart twisted. The thought of Sam loving another man, it stole his breath.
“I… Fuck, Sam,” he groaned, this time turning his eyes away from her.
“Talk to me,” she pleaded, her voice soft. “We need to be on the same page, or we’ve got to do something different.”
“Are you ready to fall in love with someone else?” he asked, his gut twisting painfully.
Sam cupped his cheeks and stared back at him. “I will never love another man the way that I love you. Never. I’ve never loved anyone the way that I love you. I’m not worried about that, and you shouldn’t be either.”
Logan didn’t miss the fact that she didn’t deny that she could fall in love with someone else.
For now, he wasn’t going to push the issue. It was a moot point anyway, since they hadn’t yet gotten to that place in their lives. If and when it happened, Logan would deal with it then. They would deal with it. Together.
“Sam,” he said, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her closer. “God, help me, I still want it, but, more importantly, I want what makes you happy. I know you get attached and I’ve learned to deal with that.”
“But I still only love you,” she said again.
“I know that.” He hoped that anyway. “I know you’ll come to care about any person we’re involved with. And I’m all right with that.” Mostly.
He stared back at her, for the first time needing her confirmation more than he needed anything else. He wanted to truly believe that she wouldn’t fall in love with another man, wouldn’t want to invite another man permanently into their lives, but he knew how the heart worked. As much as he wished, he knew he couldn’t have it both ways. The heart didn’t react that way.
“I’m not interested in sharing my bed with another man, but I would like a commitment. Someone who isn’t going to wander in and out of our lives so quickly,” he added when she didn’t say anything.
Logan had yet to inform her about Elijah’s baggage, as Luke had referred to it. The man had a complex history. Logan didn’t feel as though it were his place to share the details. He’d let Elijah talk to her, share that part of himself. But, he could at least move forward tonight with the knowledge that Elijah just might be the man who could help fulfill their fantasies even if he did present some complications.
“We’re on the same page, baby,” he said, pulling her head down until their lips met. “I want the same thing. I want to watch you come a million different ways. I want to watch while he buries his tongue in your pussy, teasing your clit while I slide my cock in and out of your mouth.” Logan thrust his tongue into her mouth, mimicking the motion of what he’d love to do with his cock. He didn’t let up until Sam was moaning and clinging to him.
For now, he would distract her, remind her exactly what he could do to her body, how hot he could make her. And vice versa.
Because they were ok. They were always going to be ok. If two people could make this work, it would be them.
So for tonight, he’d be the one filling her, making her scream. And tomorrow, they’d worry about Elijah.
Chapter Eight
Elijah made his way through the restaurant promptly at seven o’clock, just as he and Logan had agreed. That foreign rush of emotion surged once again the moment he set eyes on Samantha from across the crowded room. It was only foreign because, until recently, he hadn’t felt it in… Well, in years.
Winding his way through the other tables, Elijah approached the table in the back where Samantha and Logan were sitting and as he approached, Logan stood, showing his impeccable manners, which was something Elijah admired in the man.
The two men shook hands and then Elijah turned his attention to Samantha, taking her hand and bringing it to his lips as he leaned down. “It’s a pleasure to see you again,” he whispered to her, enjoying the way her eyes glazed over.
This woman was remarkable.
Once he was seated on Samantha’s right, their waiter approached, reading off the wine list when Logan inquired. Their selection was made, their glasses poured and the three of them were left alone while they reviewed the menu.
Another few minutes had passed before the waiter returned to take their order and during that time, Elijah felt Samantha’s eyes on him frequently. He fought the urge to smile or to meet Sam’s inquiring gaze.
Although her husband sat on her left, for some uncanny reason, Elijah appreciated the attention Samantha was showing him. It wasn’t awkward, and surprisingly it didn’t even feel like betrayal.
When Elijah glanced up from the menu he’d been perusing, he noticed Logan was looking at him. Their eyes met briefly, but what he saw reflecting back at him wasn’t anger or concern, or jealousy for that matter. It almost seemed like acceptance.
Apparently, Elijah’s candid chat yesterday had gotten through to Logan.
“I’m not interested in a one night stand, Logan. I’ll be frank with you. Meeting Samantha, I didn’t quite expect her to have such an effect on me. Since the first time I saw her, I haven’t thought of anything but her. Do you understand what I’m telling you?”
“I understand.”
“I’m not sure you do. I panicked because of her effect on me. And yes, I hauled ass because it scared the shit out of me. You’ve already reprimanded me for my actions and I listened to you. It’s your turn. You need to listen to me. Logan, if this is not something that you can handle, we need to part ways now. I would never approach Samantha in the way I want to without your blessing. I understand what this is. I accept it. I just want you to know up front that I don’t want one night. And I’m not looking for temporary.”
By the end of that phone call, Elijah felt immensely better. And he got the feeling Logan had as well. Elijah had ended the call by suggesting Logan have a heart to heart with his wife because what they were about to embark upon was going to test boundaries of all kinds.
The fact that Logan and Samantha were there with him now told Elijah that they were all in agreement.
At least so far.
Once their orders were placed, Elijah allowed himself to admire Samantha a little more. She looked radiant in her off-white silk blouse and prim black skirt. The woman exuded class, which he found exceptionally desirable.
“So, tell me how the two of you met,” he prompted Samantha when the silence descended on the table.
The way Samantha’s eyes lit up as she glanced over at Logan spoke volumes. The woman was totally in love with her husband and Elijah felt more at ease instantly. These two had a connection that was often missing from some, for lack of a better term, open relationships. He’d seen it a time or two during his interactions at the clubs.
He knew that Samantha and Logan didn’t have an open marriage because what they opted to do was to bring a third person into the mix. According to Logan, neither of them were looking for something outside of their marriage. Elijah respected that immensely. It said a lot about Logan that he would come out and speak so candidly about what he did and didn’t want in a polyamorous relationship. Not all people did that. Then again, Elijah was under the impression that Logan and Samantha were looking to take this to a whole new level. At least compared to what they’d had before.
Elijah understood quite clearly.
“I’m originally from San Antonio, born and raised, and my parents and my brother are still there. I was working at one of the remote branches of XTX when a position came open at their main offices here in Dallas. At the request of my boss at the time, I interviewed for a position and Logan was the one to interview me,” Sam admitted, picking up her wine glass.
“That sounds scandalous,” Elijah smiled. And interesting. He already knew the backstory, thanks to his many conversations with Logan, but he knew there were always two sides to every story.
Sam laughed and the woman’s voice was sexy, as was her confidence as she sat facing him directly. “It wasn’t intentional, I assure you. I couldn’t resist him though.”
Logan laughed and Elijah looked over at him, smiling as he waited for the rest of the story.
“I think it was the other way around.”
“Ok, so maybe it took me a little while to get with the program,” Sam said, glancing back and forth between Elijah and Logan. “But once I did, I can say my life changed entirely.”
